Multiplication fluency is less about drilling all 100 facts than about knowing a handful cold and having reliable ways to derive the rest. A child who knows their 2s, 5s and 10s, and who can reason that 6 × 7 is 5 × 7 plus one more 7, is in far better shape than one who has half-memorised the whole table.
These games are sequenced for that approach.
Second and third grade: building the meaning first
Before facts, children need to see what multiplication is — equal groups and arrays, and the fact that both describe the same thing.

The 2s, 5s and 10s come first because they are easy and because everything else can be derived from them.

Fourth grade: deriving the hard facts
The 6s, 7s, 8s and 9s are where memorisation stalls. They are also where derived-fact strategies pay off most.

Fourth to sixth grade: division, factors, and flexibility
Division is best introduced as the same relationship read backwards, not as a new topic.
