How it works
In the first version you call out addition facts and children cover the sums, having filled their boards from a list of sums you provide. The second version reverses it — children write facts in the squares, you call the sums, and they choose a fact that matches. That reversal is worth doing. Going from a sum back to a fact that produces it is a genuinely different mental move, and children who are fluent one way are often slow the other.
What you’ll need
- A blank bingo board per child
- Counters or chips
- A list of the facts or sums you want to practise

Recall of any addition fact set you choose, and working backwards from a sum to a fact.
Grade level
Kindergarten through 4th grade. Because you supply the list, this covers whichever fact set your class is on right now.
