Description
How it works
Use the same fact-and-sum cards as Concentration, plus one extra card carrying a picture of your school mascot. Shuffle, deal everything out, and have players take turns drawing from the person on their right. Any card that completes a pair — a fact and its sum — gets laid down. Play continues until every match is found and one player is left holding the Old Mascot. The mascot card is a small touch that makes this land with a class in a way a generic deck does not.
What you’ll need
- The printable fact and sum cards, on cardstock
- One extra card with your school mascot on it
- Three to five players
Skills practiced
Matching addition facts to their sums, and quick recognition under the light pressure of not wanting to be caught holding the mascot.
Grade level
